Product Description

BioGuard Burnout 3 is a high-powered chlorine shock that will quickly kill off any bacteria or other organic contaminants, restoring your pool water to clarity and health. Its quick-dissolving granular formula can be added directly to pool water without messy pre-dissolving, making application easy and hassle-free. It is designed specifically to work safely in vinyl and plaster pools without fear of bleaching, and is also compatible with chlorine and bromine sanitizers. Best of all, Burn Out 3 is made to the exacting standards BioGuard demands of all its products, allowing you to buy with confidence.

  • Product Dosage
      Shock Treatment:

      1 lb per 10,000 gallons of water.


      2 lb per 12,000 gallons of water.

      Algae Killing Application:

      2 lb per 12,000 gallons of water.

  • Directions
      1. With the pump running, broadcast the product evenly into the deep end of the pool.
      2. Continue to operate recirculation pump for 4 to 8 hours (24 hours for Algae Kill) after product addition. In pools with potentially bleachable surfaces, such as vinyl, plaster, fiberglass, or colored plaster, brush any undissolved product from pool surfaces.

      Never allow undissolved product to rest in contact with bleachable pool surfaces.

      In shallow pools with a depth less than 4 feet or when water is less than 65 degrees F, predissolve this product and apply evenly around the edge of the pool. Dissolve this product outdoors in a clean plastic bucket, stirring with a clean plastic or wooden spoon

      Add this product to water, NEVER add water to product. NEVER add more than 1 pound of this product to less than 3 gallons of pool water. NEVER mix with any other products
